On February 26, the "AI Heart Doctor"—CardioMind beta version (hereinafter referred to as CardioMind), jointly developed by Zhongshan Hospital and the Shanghai Institute of Scientific Intelligence, was officially launched.

As the first medical large model in China dedicated to the cardiovascular specialty, the system integrates multimodal diagnostic and treatment data with the expertise of top doctors, achieving full-process intelligence from medical history collection to assisted diagnosis. This represents a significant breakthrough in AI technology within the vertical medical field.

"We not only feed data to AI but also teach it to think like top experts," Ge Junbo explained. In addition to inputting guidelines and literature on routine cardiovascular diseases, the development and training of CardioMind incorporated hundreds of thousands of electronic medical records and the thought processes of cardiologists from Zhongshan Hospital, as well as diagnostic and treatment logic extracted from challenging cases in branded online projects such as "Grand Rounds from Renowned Hospitals."

CardioMind demonstrates distinct specialization, with its knowledge base precisely focused on cardiovascular diseases, covering various subspecialties such as coronary heart disease, arrhythmia, and heart failure. It integrates and reasons with multimodal data, including electrocardiograms, ultrasound imaging, and laboratory tests.

CardioMind consists of a consultation system and an inquiry system. It can accurately parse patients' chief complaints, combine their medical history and examination data to automatically generate structured electronic medical records, and produce intelligent auxiliary diagnoses based on in-depth reasoning of multimodal data. The built-in cardiovascular medical knowledge base enables CardioMind to accurately answer specialized cardiovascular questions, achieving intelligent knowledge inquiry.
